Stan Horne takes a big win on a tough day for sure. His limit of Smallies weigh in at 5.31 lbs which is just .02 lbs more then our 2nd place finisher.
CCBM keeps anglers top 7 finishes to assemble a Angler Of the Year list. This was our 7th tx of the year but Stan had mechanical issues at one point leaving him with no points for that event. With this win landing himself in 7th place in the AOY race and has him only 52 points out of top 3, he is in great shape going into our next tx on the North East River on September 21st.

Steve Weimar is now in mid season form after following up a win on the Nanticoke River with a 2nd place finish here on the Conowingo. He falls just shy of the win with only 4 fish going onto the scales. With that 5th fish he takes the win but it is tough to complain when most guys only weighed in 1 or 2 fish.
Steve's weight goes 5.29 lbs as he hopes to keep up the good fortune after a slow spring fishing spring.

Tom Yaw started the day unsure who he would be fishing with after his boater had to back out. Fortunately he landed himself in Stan Hornes boat who generally does really well on this body of water. Now Stan could not catch his fish for him so that is all on Tom. For a tough day Tom really had a strong day.
Tom weighs in 4 fish that go for 4.71 lbs to take 3rd place and 1 keeper away from his first win!

Will Warren did not have a huge day but his one fish was huge compared to the others on the day. He takes the Lunker title with this 2.10 lb Smallie.
With our TD having tough start to the season he comes in with a big win.

Steve Weimar comes in cold but leaves on fire. He weighs in a limit of Bass that go 9. 54 lbs which included a 2.39 lb kicker.
Other seasons Steve was always in the hunt for a top 3 finish but not this year until this event. He is hoping to take this big win to help leapfrog himself up the AOY leaderboard and with a good finish on the Conowingo he should do just that.

After bumping Sean Geerlof out of the top 3 at the last Nanticoke event he was not able to knock off the TX winner. His bag weigh in at 9.43 lb which was just .11 lbs out of the lead. He is proving to the others that he is really picking up ow to fish this place based on recent tx results!!
After taking home Lunker honors in the last Nanticoke tx James (WOO) Hauck puts together a nice bag to take home a 3rd place finish.
Current AOY Leader is on a tear like we have only seen by 4 other anglers in club history, while another angler is having a career season but it will be cut short due to an injury.
Another angler squeaks into 3rd place and top 6 overall.

Lou Croce makes it 4 wins in 5 tournaments!!

No one has ever had 2 seasons with 5 wins. You can bet Lou will be going for that record on the Nanticoke come August 24th .
On this day Louie did not have a killer day on the water but it was enough for the win! His limit of bass weighed in at 7.69 lbs

Sam's bag weighs in at 7.56 lbs just shy of Lou Croce in first place.
Sam will miss a several tournaments but may be able to fish the season nd try and secure a top 3 position.

May 11, 2019-North East River
For only the 4th time in club history a angler wins 3 in a row. After a late day drop the 2018 AOY has to settle for a 2nd place finish while one angler makes it 2-3rd place finishes in a row
Lou Croce follows back to back wins with another big win making it hard to catch him in the AOY with the current run he is on. This is the 4th time in club history a angler has won 3 times in a row. The top 3 finishers in this tx are actually the only ones to do it with Lou actually doing it 2 times. He will be trying for a 4 in a row like Sean did in 2011.
Louie catches a late day 4lber to seal the deal on this busy day on the water. His bag weighs in at 17.58 lbs. Pressures on now to try and keep up the pace.

Sean Geerlof starts the day out with 3 fish in the first few hrs. Thinking he had plenty of time to round out his limit he continues to fish slow and methodically. This resulted in a handful of short fish until hooking into a 5.41 lb pig that is good enough for Lunker of the day.
Fishing in the way he was catching them all day(3/8 oz GRT Jig) he gets the hook into a 4+ lb fish but lost him near the boat.
Usually this would have been a painful loss but Sean's son came to watch the weigh in took some photos with his good fish which made it special. His 4 fish go 15.48 lbs gives him a 2nd place finish and moves him into 3rd in AOY standings after 3 tournaments.

Mark Ely makes it 2 3rd place finishes in a row showing he is here to compete. He weighs in a solid 14.04 lb bag of 5 fish which included a 5.11 lb pig. June 8th will be the next tx and trust he will be ready to compete as he is looking to fight for that top spot in the AOY race.

Rick Mullen takes a year off to do some exploring and comes back to have his best day on the Nanticoke River.
He was catching fish all day but had a hard time trying to replace one 12" fish and it cost him a shot at the win. The good news for Rick was that it did give him a 2nd place finish and brings in the Lunker of the day to boot. Rick's bag weighs in at 10.11 lbs which was anchored by a 4.06 lb slob.
