Nanticoke River
The warm up for the CCBM Classic on the Nanticoke River brought out some good bags by some up and coming anglers and a veteran for good measure.
Picture
Rick Mullen come out and slams the door on the field with his first Tournament win. CCBM's has a bunch of anglers that know this place very well but Rick shows them all how it is done.

Picture
With Louie needing a win to keep himself in reach of  the current AOY  he falls just short but has a strong day none the less.
Lou Croce weighs in his usual limit of bass that goes for 9.19 lbs which leaves him less then a 1/4 lb out of the top spot.
Picture
Sam Montalto takes his 4th top 4 finish this season with a 3rd place finish right before the season finally.
His limit of bass weigh in at 8.34 lbs and sets him up nicely to do well at the Classic in 2 weeks.

CCBM Tournament #10
September 30, 2017
Conowingo Reservoir

At the end of the long day with high wind, high waves, and mechanical breakdowns, three anglers makes the most of the day.
Picture
Steve Weimar focuses on the fish after an early breakdown keeps him from running and gunning on a day not even fit for a kite.
Steve weighs in 5 fish for 8.08 lbs and takes the win. This also moves him soundly into the top 6 for the 2017 season.
Picture
Mark Ely takes a 12 point lead in the AOY race with 2 to go . Mark squeaks by to take 2nd place by less thnn a quarter pound.
Mark's bag of only 3 fish weigh in at 7.18 lbs to give him 2nd place points.
Picture
George Waeckel not only makes it his 3rd top 3 but adds his 4th lunker award for the season.
George weighed in 4 fish for 6.97 lbs which included a 3.23 lb Smallie.

CCBM Tournament #9
September 23, 2017

Picture

Lou's bag of  5 Largemough weigh in at 10.84 lbs.
Lou's limit of bass included a 3.47 lb kicker.
Picture
Mark Ely brings in his 5th top 3 finish of the year. With 3 txs left in the season Mark is doing his best to fight off last year's AOY Lou Croce and it may come down to the 2nd day of the Classic to determine the AOY.

July 22, 2017
North East River

A tough day on the North East River for most of the CCBM crew while one angler has a strong day. A North East River veteran takes a top 3 and an angler whom we spoke of recently as a guy to watch takes another top 3!!
Picture
Mark Ely who is no stranger to the winner's circle brings in a great bag on a day when most struggled.
Mark brings in a limit of bass that tips the scales at 17.81 lbs which includes the day's big fish of  5.32 lbs. Mark's good day rockets him into the top 3 in the AOY race.
Picture
Jerry Gerlach draws from his vast knowledge of the Upper Bay to take home a second place finish. It is not the weight Jerry was hoping for but on a tough day like this you can't complain.
Jerry weighs in the only other limit on the day for  11.55lbs.

Picture
Rick Mullen showed up 2 tx's ago and took a top 3 on the Conowingo and we felt Rick was on a roll and so far it sounds like we nailed it.
With Rick's 2nd top 3 in the last 3 tx's, he is hoping he can take this momentum through the 2nd half of our season.
Despite motor issues at the end of the day Rick weighs in a huge Bass that goes 5.05 lbs to go along with a total weight of 6.36 lbs and 3rd place.

CCBM Tournament #5
July 15, 2017
North East River

On a day tougher than most have seen in a while on the Upper Bay, one member shows up with some solid fish, while a club Oldie and a Newbie round out the top 3
Picture
After coming home from a RED hot Oneida Lake Steve Murphy puts 3 real solid fish in the boat to take home a big win!!!
Steve misses out on lunker for the day by 4 hundredths of a pound. Luckily his bag of bass weighing 9.40 lbs was plenty to win. It really seems like Steve is getting a hold on this place. Look out for him with several NE tx's to go.
Picture
Lou "Lurker" Croce (Always seems to be "Lurking" near the top) adds a 2nd place finish to a strong start to the season with another 2nd place finish and a win. His three bass weigh in at 9.14 lbs and he squeaks a Lunker win in as well with a day's best 4.38 lb Largemouth!!!
Picture
Call it beginner's luck or whatever you want but Stephan will call it a 3rd place finish against a bunch of solid fisherman. This is not Stephan's first tx he has ever fished but it is the first one he has fished with CCBM as a member. His bag of 3 bass weigh in at 8.67 lbs which is better than 2 lbs heavier than the next angler.

CCBM Tournament #4

July 8, 2017
Conowingo, Glen Cove

A debris-filled lake did not stop our Treasurer from cashing in, while 2 young guns show up and take out many of the favorites on their way to their first top 3 finish in the Chester County Bass Masters!!
Picture
George Waeckel missed out on some Oneida Smallies but made up for it on the Conowingo. George weighed in a mixed bag of bass that consisted of the 2 biggest Bass caught on the day. A 3.54 lb Largemouth and a 3.52 Smallie that boosted George's bag into the club's top 5 bags on the Conowingo. George now owns the 4th largest bag on the Conowingo and a win when it was all said and done with a  weight of 9.94 lbs.
Picture
Tom Yaw made a phone call earlier in the week to a club veteran asking what to expect when fishing the Conowingo . In the future he may expect a phone call since he kicked butt on his first trip there while the veteran finished way down the standing. Toms bag  of 5 bass weighed a respectable 8.94 lbs, just 1 pound out of the win.
Picture
Rick Mullen showed up looking forward to a fun day on the water. He got that and more. He takes home his first top 3 in the 2 years he has been fishing with CCBM. Ricks bag of 5 Bass weighs in at 8.82 lbs just barely out of 2nd place. As Rick gets more familiar with the bodies of water we fish I can see him taking more top 3's in the future.

CCBM Tournament #3
May 20, 2017
Nanticoke River
For the 2nd tx in a row the CCBM's have to deal with conditions that are not typical to the body of water they are fishing. Winds of 30+ MPH sustained, blowing out of the Nanticoke river, put the tide several feet lower than usual.  2016 AOY runner up lands a club record on top of a big win while two others battle it out for 2nd and 3rd place.
Picture
Stan Horne had a vision of showing up to the Nanticoke river and just tearing them up and he did just that.  Stan not only went out and beat the nearest angler by almost 5 lbs but also takes the record for largest bag ever weighed in on the Nanticoke river by a CCBM member in it's history.
Stan's limit of Bass weigh 12.49 lbs and takes home 1st place points. Stan also had the Lunker for the day that was weighed in at 4.81 lbs
Picture
Sean Geerlof takes advantage of a early bite while the tide was blown out by the 30 MPH winds. Sean upgraded several times but the fish that would have made a difference proved to be tough to get in the boat. After taking 2nd place with 5 fish for 7.87 lbs Sean mentioned how the Nanticoke River is really making a turn around as far as big fish. The last year or so we have seen a huge jump in large bass caught in the river. Now only if he could get them in the boat.
Picture
James "WOO" Hauck  shows up like he was never gone and takes over. Woo takes a close 3rd place by landing 4 fish that go for 7.75 lbs. Without a doubt Woo is looking forward to his next chance to show us how it is done!!

Picture
CCBM Tournament #2
May 6, 2017
North East River
One angler of more the 30 years called it one of his top 5 worst weather fishing days. With a tide pushed in over 3 feet more than normal, 40+ MPH winds, and muddy water combined with a cold front no one expected this to be an ordinary  day on the Upper Bay.
Picture
Lou Croce finds some big girls to push the scales in his favor. A win here mixed with a 2nd place finish at our opener has put him atop the leader board for AOY.  Lou's 3 fish weigh in at 10.16 lbs on this tough day.
Picture
Steve Weimar heads for some cover during rough conditions on the upper bay and finds 2 fish but they were the better than average fish. Steve's 2 fish go 7.83 lbs and gives him a second place finish. Two fish does not sound like much but on a day when you have 20 guys fishing and only 12 fish caught total you have done well.
Picture
Jerry Gerlach had a tough day but found himself on the right end of 2 fish that nearly put him in 2nd place. Jerry's 2 fish weigh 7.31 lbs and more importantly give him 3rd place points that count towards AOY standings.
Picture
Steve Murphy bested the crowd of 20 anglers to bring in this 5.73 lb Upper Bay toad and land Lunker honors!!!

CCBM Tournament #1
April 29, 2017
Nanticoke River
Picture
The long awaited start to the Chester County Bass Masters  season was here as one angler looks to reclaim his place atop of the CCBM leaderboard.  2016 AOY puts together a strong push to start the season and the club Prez shows his ability to find fish on the Nanticoke River.

Mark Ely makes the most of spawning Bass bite he found up and down Broad Creek.  Mark's bag of 5 fish weigh 10.19 lbs which gave him a top 6 bag in the history of the club on the Nanticoke River and also a big win to start the year.

Picture
Lou Croce starts the year with a second place finish during the season opener.
Lou took an early bite and culled all day but was unable to find that kicker fish to take the win. A second place finish puts him on the right road to repeating for AOY but there will be a lot of guys looking to take him down. His bag of 5 bass went for 8.84 lbs.
Picture
Eli Amilani  is becoming more and more comfortable with the Nanticoke River and how to break it down.  Eli's limit of bass give him a respectable 6.82 lbs and 3rd place points.
Picture
Jimmy Pitcherello does it again. All he does is show up and catch big fish.
Jimmy takes Lunker honors for Nanticoke and looks forward to breaking everyone's heart again soon. His Slob weighed 4.41 lbs.
